The baby industry is a cash cow. There are so many products out there, it really does make your head spin. Going to register can be overwhelming. My family is always on the look out for multi functional, well made products. Like most, I registered for a lot of things and feel that you really do not know what will work and what is a waste until you are in it.
Since becoming a new mom here are the things I use daily and find useful.
We wanted our baby in the same room with us in the beginning. The GRACO Dream Suite Bassinet was exactly what we needed. It comes in 4 stylish patterns, vibrates and has 2 cute soft toys attached. It has wheels so we easily transported it from our bedroom to the living room during the day. It has great storage underneath that we use for diapers, wipes, burp cloths, lotion and diaper cream. It can fit a lot. When my girl started sleeping in the crib we flipped it over, and it became a changing table. I love products that are multi-functional and space savers and this is one of them. It can be used till baby is 30lbs.
Graco Swivi Seat™ 3-in-1 Booster
I registered for this product because it is multi functional. I didn’t realize how much I would like it until I started using it. Instead of getting a standard high chair we got the Swivi Seat™ 3-in-1 Booster. It was easy to attach to a dining chair we already had. I love the patterns, we have the Abbington. We started off using it as a chair, then once she started eating solids we fed her in it. The seat comes with a tray that is great for putting finger foods, toys and bottles on. Now we just slide it right up to our table without the tray. It straps onto most chairs and we have even taken in on vacation. The seat reclines into a few positions so your baby can also take a nap in it. The seat swivels and it’s easy to clean.
We tried a lot of different bottles and found this one to work for us. It has a vent system that helps with digestion. It’s great for gassy babies. You have the option to not use the vent system as well, which is what we did once our girl got older.
There are a lot of carrier out there and I think you need to play around with that works for you. You definitely want to be comfortable and feel your baby is supported. The Sakura Bloom ring sling is pretty and functional, right now I carry my girl on my hip. It is perfect for breastfeeding, bonding and naps. It gives you the opportunity to be hands free and get things done. This ring sling grows with your child from infancy through the toddler years up to 35lbs.
This is another product I really love. It steams, blends and reheats baby food all in one unit in 15 minutes or less. Some say why do you need another thing to sit on your counter top when you could easily steam on the stove and blend in a blender that you already own; well this really this does it all, and it’s easy. It’s one product to clean, it doesn’t take up too much space and looks good on the counter top and more importantly I use it a lot.
